North Pole has a hands on night coming up that sounds like pure Interior fun. The first Project Clay workshop lands at the North Pole Grange Gallery from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, hosted by ceramist Kelsey Aho, who has been working with clay gathered on a recent field trip near Healy. Pieces can dry and wait for an on site kiln building workshop planned for summer 2027, or you can ask about firing in an electric kiln this winter. Details are in the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner.
Our take: winter evenings get long, and a warm gallery with local clay beats another night of scrolling. Using Interior dirt instead of something shipped from Outside fits how we already think about home up here. If you have been meaning to poke your head into the Grange, this is an easy door.
If you are clearing a corner of the garage for a hobby shelf before workshop night, Good Hand Co. can help with junk removal in Fairbanks and handyman help. And when studio dust and fall grit hit the floors, The Alaska Cleaning Company can line up a quote.
