Raising Cane's Fairbanks Sets Opening for Oct. 20

October 14, 2026

Fairbanks is finally getting its Raising Cane's. The company's location page lists the new spot at 286 Bentley Trust Road, less than a mile from Bentley Mall, with an opening date of Oct. 20, 2026.

Your Alaska Link reports opening day plans that include a morning ribbon cutting, a drawing for free Cane's for a year for customers 13 and older who are present, gifts for the first 100 in restaurant combo purchases, and a visit from Running Reindeer Ranch. The restaurant is expected to bring about 100 jobs, with a drive thru and daily hours, later on Fridays and Saturdays.

Read the Your Alaska Link writeup. Confirm the date on Raising Cane's Fairbanks page.

Our take: this building has been sitting there long enough that half of town has a running joke about it. If Oct. 20 sticks, expect a line, a full parking lot, and a few folks who drove over just to say they were there. Bring patience, and maybe skip the lunch rush the first week unless you like a parade.

If the Bentley Trust Road traffic leaves your car coated in dust and gravel, or the house needs a reset after a weekend of takeout boxes, The Alaska Cleaning Company can help. For bigger home jobs around town, Good Hand Co. is here too.
