Aurora tonight
NOAA has the Kp topping out at 1.67 tonight around 7 PM, then holding quiet after that. That's a low night for Fairbanks on paper, and with rain and snow likely later, the clouds will probably keep things muted. If you catch a clear patch early evening, a quick look north still won't hurt, but don't plan a chase around it.

North Pole: Today: Chance Light Snow, 40°F. Tonight: Rain And Snow Likely, 28°F. Saturday: Light Snow Likely, 36°F.
The Weather Service says any new snow tonight should stay under half an inch, so think wet roads and a thin dusting more than a plow day. Give yourself a little extra time if you're out after dark.
